Beth Chapman and Dog the Bounty Hunter have become grandparents! Despite Beth going through a very tough period battling cancer, the new grandparents seem to be living lift to the fullest. Not only are they back on television with a new series on WGN America, but the couple is also celebrating their new little addition to the Chapman family.
On Friday, Beth shared an Instagram post, where she carefully held the newborn in a Honolulu, Hawaii hospital, where she captioned the post:
The 51-year-old said that there is ‘nothing more beautiful or inspiring than the birth of a new baby’ as she hearkened a ‘new [generation of] the Chapman family.’
In the picture, she tagged the baby’s father, the 23-year-old grandson Dakota, telling him she was very proud of him and that he will be an amazing father.
Taking to her stepson’s dad, Leland, Beth wrote:
The birth of her grandson comes less than two months after Beth underwent emergency surgery in Los Angeles after her throat cancer returned.
Beth was first diagnosed with stage II throat cancer back in September 2017, and received a cancer-free diagnosis that same year, before news that her cancer had spread to her lungs.
An attorney of the Chapman family told Us Weekly that the treatments are going well but they are certainly taking their toll on her.
The Chapmans have a lot on their plate right now. They just started filming for the new WGN show while Beth’s been going through treatment.
